A one day workshop was conducted on 24th May for parents and special educators at Autism Sisukshema kendram of Kerala State Child welfare council, Thrissur . The workshop familiarized the participants with Gcompris, a free software educational package. Altogether 26 teachers and parents of autistic children from the institute participated in the training programme.The general opinion from Teachers during the feedback session was that Gcompris will be helpful in improving the functional academic concept of the autistic children.
