The two month English Communication and Soft Skills Development programme for the Visually Challenged started at the Insight Centre from 8th March 2010. 15 selected students from different parts of Kerala are attending the course. Apart from developing their communication skills, this course will also attempt to provide them with the required Free Software ICT tools as well. All students completing the training and clearing the examination thereafter will be issued a certificate from IGNOU.

The 5 day ICT training programme for Visually Challenged school teachers of Kasargod District was conducted from 8th to 12th March 2010. The training, held at the IT@School District resource centre was attended by 9 teachers. The training was on the use of computers with the latest ICT tools.

The 5 day ICT training programme for Visually Challenged school teachers of Alappuzha District was conducted from 16th to 20th February 2010. Six teachers were trained at the it@school resource centre, Alappuzha. The training was on the use of computers as part of enriching their pedagogy with the latest ICT tools.
