Workshop on Interface Development for the Differently Abled

Dr. Arun Mehta of the Hawkings Project fame is conducting a workshop on Software Development for Kids with Special Needs in Govt Engg College Barton Hill on the 4th of September starting at 9.00 AM. Dr.Arun Mehta is engaged in developing softwares for the Autistic and the Cerebral Palsied and thus providing them newer ways to communicate. Dr. Arun Mehta has developed a website www.skid.org.in to help these special kids. The workshop is jointly organized by Insight, SPACE and the Free Software Cell, GEC Barton Hill.

Insight proudly presents the National Conference on Enabling the differently abled with the use of ICT, 2008. The conference is being held as part of the expansion of Insight’s activities into newer domains. The conference will explore possibilities of ICT in improving the lives of the differently abled on two fronts - provide Assistive solutions to the Mentally & Physically Challenged and find ways to equip the differently abled in seeking employment in the ICT sector.
